Hyaluronic Acid (HA) has a maximum saturation of 1%.
The product is 100% saturated at 1% This product is 1.5% concentration.

The standard industry terminology equates to a 100% Hyaluronic Acid Solution as a solution of 99% water and 1% Hyaluronic Acid by weight. This is because this is the concentration considered maximal for a Hyaluronic Acid solution to maintain its fluid characteristics.

HA is the naturally occurring and widespread component found within the extracellular matrix (ECM) within bodily tissues, especially those of the face. Its water-binding and water-attracting attributes fill up the spaces between the connective fibers collagen and elastin in the dermis.

With a small molecular size, it is able to hold more water than any other natural substance, up to 1,000 times its weight in water.

When applied topically to the skin it can reach deep down into the dermis to combine with, maintain and attract water helping your skin bring and absorb water more effectively and reducing any sort of trans-epidermal water loss.

Unlike some skincare ingredients, HA is super versatile and can be used with all skin types. However, there's still a right and a wrong way to use it; the key to maximizing its potential is to add water.

"When used alone topically, oily skin types may fare better than dry," notes Erum Ilyas, MD, a dermatologist at Montgomery Dermatology. "However, dry skin unfortunately may not have the moisture HA-containing topical products need to work."

In other words, hyaluronic acid brings in moisture, and it doesn't really care where that moisture comes from. This means that if you're in a dry environment, it may actually pull moisture out of your skin and up toward the product, leaving you feeling dryer than before. If you do live in a dry climate, try applying an HA-containing product to damp or wet skin.
